Topsfield Sustainability Advisory Committee clears annual report and composting rebate using grant funds. Chair Zillie Bhuju confirmed the town finance team and outside legal counsel approved a $45 rebate for residents enrolling in six-month Black Earth curbside composting; the committee unanimously approved the FY25 Annual Report; and announced that waste tonnage fell 22 percent within three months of switching to automated bins, with fewer than one-quarter of residents purchasing second carts. The committee will theme this year's May 2 Earth Day event around waste reduction and resident success stories; 33 people have already signed up for the upcoming library speaker series.
