Select Board reviews water pressure study, defers treatment upgrades to future town meeting

Select Board's Office · Meeting of January 5, 2026

TOPSFIELD — Select Board refines water capital planning and PFAS strategy. Town Administrator Kevin Harutunian and Water Superintendent Greg Krom presented a water pressure study identifying affected properties; the Board agreed to develop a specific scope of work before requesting town meeting approval. On PFAS, Harutunian reported Topsfield tests slightly above pending federal standards, with a fall 2026 Special Town Meeting possible depending on additional regulatory guidance.

The Board voted unanimously to enter and exit Executive Session to discuss litigation strategy in Davis v Topsfield M20PO931272. Water Treatment Upgrades were removed from the warrant and deferred to a future special or annual meeting.
