Select Board approves state earmarks for library doors and lawnmower

TOPSFIELD — The Topsfield Select Board unanimously accepted $55,000 in state budget earmarks for library infrastructure and grounds equipment. Select Board Chair Rafael McDonald and colleagues voted to authorize Town Administrator Kevin Harutunian to accept $20,000 for ADA-compliant automated library doors and $35,000 for an autonomous robotic lawnmower. The Board also voted 4-0-1 to renew the 2026 Common Victualler's License for Osteria Peppino Pizzeria through April 28, 2026, with Select Board Member Boyd Jackson abstaining; owner Gerry Giugliano confirmed the building's second-floor apartment remains unoccupied as inspections continue toward occupancy certification.
The Board unanimously approved warrant articles for the May Annual Town Meeting and Special Town Meeting, including approval of Attachment A in Version 6.
