TOPSFIELD — Select Board approves Iron Ox Farm sign, authorizes payroll signatory for Treasurer Collector. The Board voted 3-1-1 to grant the non-conforming sign permit at 241 Ipswich Road despite neighbor Howard Leavitt's concerns over visual clutter; Member Gregory Cerino opposed and Vice Chair Michelle Mercier-Link abstained. Chair Rafael McDonald's motion to appoint Assistant Treasurer Collector Conor McIntosh as payroll and bill schedule signatory through June 30, 2026 passed 5-0.
The Board also unanimously approved a $56,147 renewal contract with Northeast Massachusetts Mosquito Control and authorized the Water Superintendent to declare conservation orders under two separate trigger mechanisms: low Ipswich River streamflow and state drought declaration.
