TOPSFIELD — Select Board approves cable programming contract and sustainable purchasing policy, defers liquor licenses. Chair Rafael McDonald, Vice Chair and Clerk Michelle Mercier-Link, and Member Gregory Cerino voted unanimously to approve a $35,000 contract with Jonathan Rivers of Holliston for fiscal year 2027 cable programming and editing, and unanimously approved a Sustainable Purchasing Policy that will increase the town's eligibility for MassDEP RDP Dividends Grant funding. Three one-day liquor license applications, for Salem Five Family Picnic, ICL Company Picnic, and Essex Agricultural Society's 11 licenses for Topsfield Fair, were deferred for later review.
The Board continued a public hearing on a non-conforming sign permit for 241 Ipswich Road to May 26 after Mercier-Link recused herself due to work she does for the applicant, Iron Ox Farm.
