The committee discussed structural budget cuts totaling $233,788 for secondary education and considered options including using free cash to lower override costs by $105,398 and reducing the Elementary School budget by $75,000 to $150,000.
The committee took no votes but advised the Select Board to prioritize long-term levy capacity and free cash availability while identifying structural reductions to avoid fiscal year 2027 deficits.
