Topsfield Conservation Commission approves winery parking lot with pollinator garden and native tree requirements. Vice-Chair Jennifer DiCarlo's motion to issue a Negative 3 and Negative 6 Determination of Applicability for the Alfalfa Farm Winery at 249 Rowley Bridge Road passed unanimously, requiring an area equivalent to regraded sections be converted to a pollinator garden, one native tree planted in the buffer zone, and wetland markers installed before work begins. The commission also granted a waiver and issued an Order of Conditions for a retaining wall at 30 Canterbury Hill Road, requiring invasive species removal and two-year monitoring with annual professional reports.
Two large Topsfield Garages redevelopment projects involving a restaurant and parking lot were continued to February 11 pending stormwater peer review.
