TOPSFIELD — Board of Health approves January minutes, discusses grant-funded nurse hire and fair participation. The Board unanimously approved the January 21, 2026 meeting minutes in a 4-0 vote, with Chair Sheryl Knutsen RN, William Hunt Esq., Ellen Eaton RN, and Karl Ackerman present. Health Director Jon Bouley announced that a new Tri-Town Public Health nurse has been hired under the Public Health Excellence Grant, with funding expected through fiscal year 2027 pending the hire's start date.
The Board confirmed participation in the Grow Spring EXPO at the Topsfield Fairgrounds on April 11, 2026, and reviewed MAVEN communicable disease monitoring procedures, with Board member Eaton stressing that the incoming nurse should receive MAVEN training and reporting instruction.
